Transforming trauma in Aotearoa / New Zealand.
About me
I have lived and worked in many different cultures and enjoy working with people from all over the world. I am LGBTQI+ friendly. I encourage clients to work at a comfortable pace and start where they like. When possible I facilitate clients to use their body sensations, memories, and images in a creative form of self-discovery called Focusing (Gendlin). I use Brainspotting (Grand) to enable clients to reprocess trauma, anxiety, and stuck experiences at the subcortical level. Rather than talk about problems, I work with the neurobiology of the limbic system. This allows people to change habits, overcome fear, and enhance their lives.
How I work
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I use Person-Centred listening with a body-oriented approach, to enable what is 'stuck' to flow. For couples and families having ones healing witnessed by a loved-one enhances bonds, while the witness learns and comes to support their family members. Relationships can provide a safe context for healing.
What I offer
I offer a short, free call for you to ask questions, clarify goals, and discuss what might be holding you back. In our first session, we can get to know each other more while beginning our work together. Many people have restricted finance and time and so I offer single sessions, short-term work, and weekly, fortnightly, or monthly ongoing meetings.
